This website is dedicated to Rainer Lagemann. Born in Dusseldorf, Germany, Rainer Lagemann has lived in San Francisco Bay Area since 1988. Today Rainer Lagemann resides in Miami, if he is not travelling to Europe or Asia. Where ever he is, he creates modern metal sculptures from small steel squares. He welds steel squares into modern interpretations of the human body or abstract variations of contemporary sculptures. Trained as an interior architect, Rainer Lagemann arrived to sculpture later in his life, but his unique treatment of material and subject matter earned him immediate international recognition. Rainer’s work has been exhibited and sold in Canada, Singapore, Europe, both through private galleries and in over dozens of world renowned art fairs. Mr. Lagemann has moved to Miami in 2008 to become a part of its developing art scene. His work has been instrumental in shaping Miami’s prestige in the art world.
